  1. It looks like Sweden - I think you 2 would really enjoy it here - though it would be a little tough to transport your truck and home on wheels - not tough but expensive. Gas prices here are now right under 15 crowns per LITER!! (its about a quart) Where I live in Dals Rostock, we have the occassional moose, lots of deer and foxes and now and then, a wolf. I have a forest in back of my yard and can get chanterelle mushrooms and in a good year even porcini mushrooms.
What kind of fish is a Dolly - never heard of that one.
When I fish I usually get perch or pike but in the big lake not far from here you can get salmon if you have a big enough boat to get you out far enough.

  2. Linda, Thanks for checking out our blog. Here is the description for a Dolly Varden -

The Dolly Varden trout, Salvelinus malma malma, is a subspecies of anadromous fish in the salmon family, and is technically a char. Although many populations are anadromous, the fish also exists in landlocked waters.

We think Sweden would be a delightful place to visit, but I don't think we would try and get our 30 ft trailer and pick-up over there:) Our truck is diesel and diesel is $4.35 per/gallon, I think that would be 56.75 crowns per gallon. There are no fresh water perch in Alaska, but they do have pike, an invasive species they wish was not here, as they hurt the salmon population. The mushroom species you mention are not familiar with me, but we do pick morel mushrooms here.

Thanks again for looking and posting on our blog.
