Rosie and I made our first trip fishing today for Reds, we got fishing about 4:00 p.m., 1 1/4 hours before high tide. I was lucky enough to hook and land 2 reds, our first fish of the 2015 season. We fished until about 6:45 p.m. and called it a day. We are both happy to have fish in the freezer and it was nice to be out without getting rained on too much. The dogs were happy to get a run before and after fishing and got to watch us fish. While fishing we got checked by an Alaska Fish & Game Trooper, a nice younger guy. He then met us again in town at the cleaning station, where we visited some more,
Not a big fan of salmon, but if you hook a 14 ounce New York strip steak, count me in!
