Great morning fishing the Kenai River, caught my limit (3) again today, one was 28 1/2 inches long. Also saw a moose on our drive fishing.

It's been awhile

We had very bad internet reception at Seward and I was unable to make any posts. (See picture of cell tower and 2G Alaska internet, 2(G)uys on a tower yelling) We moved yesterday (July 1st) to St. Theresa Camp, which is between Sterling and Soldotna. There is a big wildfire in the Kenai National Wildlife Refuge that has been burning for a couple of weeks, as of yesterday is is over 70,000 acres. There are over 500 fire fighters working the fire, but they are managing it and not trying to put it out. We had lots of smoke in Seward, but not any where we are now. We caught and put 74 fish in the freezer at Seward and have room for about 30 more which we hope to catch in the Kenai River starting mid July. Temperatures have been high lately, in the 70's and 80's. The hazy pictures show how smoky it was in Seward. The waders picture is my old waders that finally gave out after many years of service.
